The Local History Collection focuses on the history of Orange County California and the cities within Orange County, Southern California and to a lesser extent California as a whole.
The collection includes 3860 cataloged books and pamphlets, correspondence, ephemera, manuscripts, maps, memoribilia, microfilm, papers, periodicals, posters and photographs.

General
Late 19th and early 20th century black-and-white photographs (and negatives) of Gilman and Bowen family members and friends. Locations include Pasadena, Placentia, Anaheim, Orange County Park, Gilman and Bowen ranch properties, as well as photos from a trip to New England. Also includes photographs from the 1934 commemoration of the first Valencia oranges planted in the U.S. by R. H. Gilman.
