The Local History Collection focuses on the history of Orange County California and the cities within Orange County, Southern California and to a lesser extent California as a whole.
The collection includes 3860 cataloged books and pamphlets, correspondence, ephemera, manuscripts, maps, memoribilia, microfilm, papers, periodicals, posters and photographs.

Assorted correspondences and documents belonging or pertaining to Gilman and Bowen family members. Contains photocopies of newspaper clippings from the Orange County Register, Los Angeles Times, Anaheim Bulletin, and Daily News Tribune. Also includes research by Virigina Carpenter and George Key on the Fullerton's Richard Hall Gilman Park, and documents from the Cajon Irrigation Co., and Stearns Rancho Company.
