The Local History Collection focuses on the history of Orange County California and the cities within Orange County, Southern California and to a lesser extent California as a whole.
The collection includes 3860 cataloged books and pamphlets, correspondence, ephemera, manuscripts, maps, memoribilia, microfilm, papers, periodicals, posters and photographs.

General
Contains three black-and-white photographs of Richard Nixon's birthplace in Yorba Linda, its George P. Bent Upright Piano, and a meeting of the Yorba Linda Womne's Club featuring an infant Richard Nixon and his mother Hannah.
Also contains three pamphlets for the Nixon Birthplace Foundation, and excerpts from a 1970 issue of Pacific Telephone Magazine featuring a story on Nixon's "White House West" in San Clemente.
Includes and photocopies of local newspaper articles on the marriage of Richard Nixon's niece Lawrene Nixon, Nixon's former law office in La Habra being made a historical site, and a post-presidency meeting between Nixon and old Yorba Linda friends . Also contains a program for the Nixon Law Office Plaque Dedication on January 29, 1971.
