The Local History Collection focuses on the history of Orange County California and the cities within Orange County, Southern California and to a lesser extent California as a whole.

The collection includes 3860 cataloged books and pamphlets, correspondence, ephemera, manuscripts, maps, memoribilia, microfilm, papers, periodicals, posters and photographs.

Contains Harry Oliver's article "Everybody Has A 'Thing'" from the Desert Grapevine, an issue of Calico Print with a blurb by Oliver on page 35, excerpts from Oliver's Desert Rat Scrapbook published in the Desert Magazine, and assorted newspaper clippings containing articles by Oliver.
