The Local History Collection focuses on the history of Orange County California and the cities within Orange County, Southern California and to a lesser extent California as a whole.
The collection includes 3860 cataloged books and pamphlets, correspondence, ephemera, manuscripts, maps, memoribilia, microfilm, papers, periodicals, posters and photographs.

Contains a paper on the Yorba family history written by Margie Yorba (donated 7/04 by Jorice Maag), memorial cards for Bernardo Yorba and Albert John Yorba, correspondence from Margie Yorba to Joe and Jorice Maag, photocopies of local newspaper obituaries for Cecilia Yorba-Luckey, Bernardo Yorba, and Albert Yorba, and typed obituaries for Erolinda Cota Yorba and Adelina Yorba de Carrillo.
