Scope and Contents

In Program #1, "Profiles of Contemporary Women," Barbara McDowell interviews Lorraine Blair, owner and director of Lessons Unlimited in Santa Ana. They discuss the concept of being a mother, and how the designation of mother or nurturer should not just be limited to the biological mother. She asserts that Mother's Day is not just for mothers. In Program #2, "Profiles of Contemporary Women," Barbara McDowell speaks with Linda Koranda, a CSUF graduate of Human Services. They discuss Koranda's work advocating for disabled women. In Program #3, "You Can Make a Difference," Dr. Lee Bentley sits down with Evie Bowmen, Chair of the El Dorado Ranch Restoration project and active Fullerton community member. They discuss the early years of the university, keeping physically active in senior years, and Bowmen's learning experiences as a world traveler. In Program #4, "You Can Make a Difference," Dr. Lee Bentley sits down with Dixie Shaw, a lecturer with the Continuing Learning Education program and active member of the North Orange County cultural scene. They discuss Shaw's active engagement with the art and continuing education communities.
