The collection consists of photographs taken between 1882 and 1953 of various exterior locations primarily in Orange County, California, including Santa Ana, Tustin, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, Garden Grove, Orange, San Juan Capistrano, San Juan Hot Springs, and Irvine. There are also photographs of Catalina Island and Riverside. More than half of the photographs date to the period prior to 1900. The collection includes in most cases the glass plate or film negatives used to create the prints.

General

The First National Bank of Santa Ana built its offices on the southwest corner of Fourth and Main streets in 1923. The six-story building was Santa Ana's first skyscraper; it still stands.First truck has an attached crane that is being operated by a man sitting on the back of the truck. Second truck is holding a large object that is being attached to the crane lift. Two men are standing on the back of the second truck. A young child is standing on the sidewalk. Trucks have the Miller Iron Works logo on the sides. Santa Ana, CA.
