The CCLI Southern Region's Depository is a collection of library instruction materials produced by academic libraries in California. Materials were acquired through questionnaires distributed in 1974, 1976, 1900, 1982 and 1984. A directory entitled Everything You Always Wanted to Know about Library Instruction but Didn't Have Time to Ask, was prepared from responses to the 1974 questionnaire. The 1980, 1983 and 1986 editions of a Directory of Library Instruction Programs in California Academic Libraries were compiled from responses to the 1980, 1983 and 1984 questionnaire. From mid-1992 – 1995, the Depository was housed at San Diego State University, and was available for use by appointment.

The following materials were collected for the Depository: Bibliographic Instruction (BI) Goals and Objectives, Evaluation Forms and Tests, Exercises, Subject Guides, Pathfinders, Self-Paced Workbooks – General and Subject Specialized, Formal Courses, General Orientation Materials, Self-Guided Tours, Orientation Exercises, Scripts (from audio and videotapes), Miriam Dudley Library Skills Workbook Adaptations, Videotapes and Cassette recordings of various seminars and meetings.
