Biographical / Historical
The camasa or bowl or cup for holding the Soma juice (the hallucinogenic drink used in the Soma sacrifice) or as a cup to drink from by the participating priests in the ritual. It may also be used to hold the praṇītāḥ (“fetched”) waters that are purified by filters. The camasa is made of nyagrodha (Ficus Indica) wood.
