The Local History Collection focuses on the history of Orange County California and the cities within Orange County, Southern California and to a lesser extent California as a whole.

General

Materials belonging to the Launer family, descendents of John G. Launer (1863-1929), who moved with his family from Illinois to La Habra, California in 1898, where he became a rancher and later mayor.

Albert Launer, one of John G. Launer's five sons, served as city attorney for Fullerton, Brea, La Habra and Placentia, and his wife Lulu Convis Launer was a teacher and community organizer in Orange County and Los Angeles.
