As part of the larger STC International, founded in 1953, the chapter shares in the mission of promoting best practices and techniques in the field.
The Orange County Chapter focuses on providing educational and networking opportunities for its members, raising awareness of technical communication among business and civic leaders, and offering members chances to publish, present, and enhance their skills. STC International, with a global network of approximately 4,000 professionals, offers members benefits such as access to a job bank, discounted webinars and online courses, reduced rates for professional certification exams, and access to digital publications. Through these efforts, both the local chapter and the international organization strive to support and develop technical communication professionals in Orange County and beyond.
