The Local History Collection focuses on the history of Orange County California and the cities within Orange County, Southern California and to a lesser extent California as a whole.
The collection includes 3860 cataloged books and pamphlets, correspondence, ephemera, manuscripts, maps, memoribilia, microfilm, papers, periodicals, posters and photographs.

General
Includes a medal from the Orange County Parade of Products, a Confederate twenty-dollar bill, a booklet with handwritten notes and drawings, and envelopes for letters.
Also includes an issue of the "Pomona Valley Historian," Vol. 5, No. 4, published October 1969 by the Historical Society of Pomona Valley, which contains an article by Oscar H. Edinger, Jr. on "A Pioneer California Family" (pages 159-170).
