The Local History Collection focuses on the history of Orange County California and the cities within Orange County, Southern California and to a lesser extent California as a whole.
The collection includes 3860 cataloged books and pamphlets, correspondence, ephemera, manuscripts, maps, memoribilia, microfilm, papers, periodicals, posters and photographs.

Photographs of Edinger family members and friends, including Oscar H. Edinger Sr., his wife Irene, and his mother Caroline Catherine Edinger, as well as Oscar H. Edinger Jr., his wife Zilpha Johnson Edinger, and their son Donald C. Edinger. Locations include Pomona, Laguna Beach, La Verne, Ontario, Silverado Canyon, San Dimas Canyon, Balboa Beach, and Hawaii.
