The Local History Collection focuses on the history of Orange County California and the cities within Orange County, Southern California and to a lesser extent California as a whole.

The collection includes 3860 cataloged books and pamphlets, correspondence, ephemera, manuscripts, maps, memoribilia, microfilm, papers, periodicals, posters and photographs.

General

Contains local history articles, book reviews, and forwards written by Don Meadows for the Brand Books of the Los Angeles Corral of the Westerners, the Southern California Historical Society, and the California Historical Society Quarterly. Includes bird-watching notes published in The Condor, and butterfly notes published in the Pomona College Journal of Entomology and Zoology. Also contains two pamphlets of "The Postscript" and a poem in a May 1913 clipping from the Orange Post, both printed while in elementary school.
