General
1. Shows CSUF (aka Orange County State College) just before it opened on its present site in September of 1960. The two lane street is Cypress Ave. now State College Blvd. It dead ended right across the street west of the university. The final count of students was 1069 for the Fall term. 2. First graduating class at the present site. (Actually, the second graduating class. I am enclosing a copy of the Commencement.) I am shown walking to and taking my seat. THe next person shown very briefly is Donal Michalsky. The man is the blue suit shown next with his back to the camera is Dr. Joseph Landon. I receive my degree from Dr. Langsdorf. (The women walking away just before this is Audrey Folz. I lost touch with her years ago and have no idea where she is now.) 3. The Elephant Race- I had forgotten the problem with the women's hair during the race. It is obvious that a lot of media were present for the event. Entrees from the Northrop Institute of Technology, Harvard University are shown among others. One of the men wearing turbans is Dr. Charles Povlovich, history professor.
